Community Bridge
Community Bridge is a program that gathers together local community projects, small charities, local government initiatives and the social development activities of resort and tourism developers in Nicaragua in order to highlight and support the activities, needs and successes of local communities around the country.
Projects vary in size and focus and range from community led building projects to emergency relief to local partnerships for progress. You can decide where to focus your funds by browsing the projects listed in our Projects by Area section. Community REfund covers projects in the Granada area, the San Juan del Sur area, projects in the Managua and Central Coast regions and Tola.
If you are considering purchasing real estate in a particular area you may wish to support the projects sponsored by the developer of your resort, projects undertaken in partnership with the local municipality of the nearest town or a local community project near the real estate you’ll be purchasing. Focusing your funding this way enhances both the local community and your real estate investment as healthy communities lead to healthy investments for everyone.
You might prefer to fund projects or organizations working on issues that particularly interest you such as education for children, child and maternal health care, environmental clean up and preservation, sports facilities or local technology improvements.
Whatever your focus and motivation, Community Bridge provides individual investors and donors with a list of qualified projects in need of funding. Donations to the Community Bridge program can be directed to a specific project or can be made as a general donation in which case the allocation will follow the Community REfund funding allocation policy.
Community Bridge is a partnership between those who need help and those who can help.
